Incognito Cinema Warriors XP is an MST3K inspired movie riffing masterpiece.
The premise of the show is that the zombie apocalypse has arrived. A military team know as the CORPS is overrun in Kansas City. One soldier, Rick, manages to escape to the safety of a movie theater. It turns out that a mad scientist has occupied the theater but he allows Rick to stay as long as Rick agrees to watch all the movies in the theater's library. Armed only with the madman's robots and a hefty dose of sarcasm, Rick agrees... antics ensue.
There are so many things to love about this show. It strikes me is that it shouldn't be as well made and polished as it is. It also strikes me that it shouldn't be as unknown as it is.
The series has been around for 8 years. I first heard about it when they made an ad for the campaign to bring back MST3K. It's taken me this long to figure out how the series works... there are regular episodes (available on DVD or thru Youtube), gaming runs, movie reviews, etc... after 8 years, there's a lot of material out there. I recommend starting from the playlists not the video feed.
OR you can begin with the first 4 episodes from the 2nd season which are available free of charge:
201. Victory Gardens
202. Soapy the Germ Fighter
203. The Great American Chocolate Factory
203.5. Resident Evil
But here's the thing... these underrated , underappreciated heroes have been at it for 8 years and they've had to keep their day jobs all the while. It's a labor of love for them.
Sadly they're thinking about ending an amazing run. But before they do, they've set up a patreon and there's a store on the ICWXP site where you can buy the DVDs (or purchase episodes for download)... and if we don't start supporting these guys they're going to call it a day.
If anyone's out there, please get to know ICWXP today.
